Soon we’ll enter a new year, and Toxique wants to thank all of you for your fantastic support during 2012 – the year where the magazine was created.
Next year Toxique will bring you plenty of magazines – both normal issues and special editions – with new artistic pictures and interviews with new artists, keep you updated with the latest news at the art scene and hopefully expand further.
2012 has been an incredible year at the art scene – art pieces from some of the most recognized artists (like Picasso, da Vinci, Cezanne, Manet, Monet, Koons, Hirst, etc.) have been sold after many decades of ownership by one person / one family – which only emphasizes that art really is an investment, a new valuta, today. Hereby, the financial crisis has affected the art scene considerably. At the same time, we have had some of the largest, most decadent, beautiful, provocative and extraordinary art fairs this year, reaching new records in terms of the number of visitors.
In order to bring you into the new years with fire and excitement, Toxique gives you some videos from the world-famous artist Cai Guo-Qiang, specialized in explosive arts!
Over 40,000 rockets blasting off from the wall of the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
