The winners of the 13th annual Young Architects Program (YAP) in New York are Matthias Hollwich and Marc Kushner (HWKN) with the eco-friendly project Wendy, announced by the Museum of Modern Art and MoMA PS1 on the 1st of July this year. With Wendy the two artists create an urban space for MoMA PS1′s 2012 Warm Up series. The installation is an attempt to create an ecological and a social effect in New York. By using nylon fabric treated with a ground breaking titania nano particle spray to neutralize airborne pollutants it is the hope that Wendy will be able to clean part of the air in the city.
If you live in New York nearby Long Island City or maybe travel to the city during the summer holiday, you are able to see Wendy until the 8th of September 2012. Enjoy creativity in the street!
